Arcades I

The loss of the Old Arcade in Cleveland as a free and open public space, following its transformation to a hotel (which did perform the service of saving the historic structure, which was badly deteriorating) was ameliorated by the renovation and resuscitation of Cleveland's other two historic arcades, the Euclid Arcade and the Colonial Arcade. Now fairly vital even in the current economy, these two structures running between Euclid and Prospect Avenues stand as serene oases of time travel to Cleveland's vital and vigorous past.
