Snow Day

Kids at Playhouse Square for a matinee performance of, I suspect, "Billy Elliott." Snap from a snowball fight in Dodge Court.

Smoky Boy

His features had begun a steady deterioration long before the Old Country Smokehouse finally closed. Had it ever been open? Whenever I stopped to photograph the store, the gate was drawn across the front of the store, and there was no sign of activity within. Now the front signage is gone. Only Smoky Boy remains, and he becomes less recognizable for what he is. One more Cleveland winter will most likely obliterate him.

Farmer's Market, October

Shaker Square. Last outdoor market till next year.

Euclid Beach Revenants

Late September outdoor exhibit of Euclid Beach Park memorabilia, on a cold and cloudy day.

Lee Fisher

Fisher for Senate rally, Shaker Square, Cleveland, early summer 2010. As usual, we found ourselves quite accidentally at an unexpected event. Now that Democratic candidate Lee Fisher has released what may be his last $100,000 in campaign funds to the Ohio Democratic Party for the get-out-the-vote drive, I thought it might be the time to re-visit this more optimistic moment. Taken with the strange but excellent Olympus ZLR, Kodak Tri-X film.

Puerto Rico Day Parade I

August 2010. I was downtown looking for random street scenes to capture in black and white when crowds gathering along East Ninth Street caught my attention, and my plans quickly changed.

Puerto Rico Day Parade II
