The Price of "Progress"

Prospect Avenue loses the last vestiges of its character as a commercial district for jewelry, clothing, musical instruments and loans with the imminent closing of Volk's, the Mad Hatter and Downtown Records and CDs, to make way for a national chain steakhouse.
